Annual Passholder, Disney Genie+ Service Updates Take Effect March 20 & April 18

Disney Genie+ Service Update

Previously, we announced a few updates to improve the guest experience, and we are excited today to be providing launch dates and more information on the enhancements being made to Disney Genie+ service and for Annual Passholders based on guest feedback.

  • Starting on March 20, 2023, all guests will receive access to attraction photos with the purchase of Disney Genie+ service.
  • Starting on March 20, 2023, Annual Passholders with a My Disney Experience account and the app will receive access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses and, one “Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories” experience (for Annual Passholders over the age of 18 who consent to use of their photos and this technology). Additionally, Passholders will receive a new offering where you can create and share short Disney-themed video slideshows with favorite photos from your theme park visits.
  • Beginning on April 18, 2023, Passholders may visit a theme park after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park. Pass blockout dates will continue to apply like they do today. While the theme park reservation system remains important to manage attendance in our parks, especially on busier days, we realize our Passholders enjoy more spontaneous visits – and this change will make that possible.

As you know, our guests have an incredible connection and loyalty to our brand, and we’re making these updates to improve the guest experience and to let our fans know we are listening to their feedback.

As a kid, I had visited Disney multiple times and it sparked a passion for all things Disney. In 2010, I proposed to my wife in front of Cinderella's Castle an since then it has been a large part of our life. Now as a father of three and experiencing Disney with my wife through our children's eyes, our love for Disney has grown tenfold and I can't wait to share my passion and experiences with you.
