It has been 217 days since Disney Parks Blog made a statement about the Disney Dining Plan’s return. Will we see the Disney Dining Plan in 2022?
Back on June 30, 2021, In an announcement in preparation for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, a statement was made about the future of the Disney Dining Plan.
Speaking of Disney Resort hotel stays, we know many of you are also wondering when Disney dining plan packages will return. While we’re not quite ready to share an update on timing, we are planning to bring this guest-favorite option back at a later date. We will also continue to reopen more Resort offerings, including restaurants like ‘Ohana (with the noodles!).
While it did not offer a timeline, it offered us a glimmer of hope and I know many of us are anxiously awaiting an announcement.
Regardless if you are a fan or not of the Disney Dining Plan, it offered guests a sense of “all-inclusiveness.” Their meals were already pre-paid and it was one less thing they had to worry about.
While many of Walt Disney World’s dining options have returned, there are still a handful which have not. The Dining Plan is not likely to return until all dining options are back open. We have recently seen the announcement and reopening of Jiko – A Cooking Place and Flying Fish, but there are still plenty more to come.
I look forward to the announcement of the return of the Disney Dining Plan and will be very interested in what it looks like when it does. It will also be interesting to see what will the Disney Dining Plan cost when it finally returns
