Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Closing This Month

According to WDWNT, The popular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game is closing at the end of this month.

Reportedly, due to decreased demand for the game, it will be closing on Sunday, January 24. Until then, Guests can still battle the villains and pick up their daily card packs. At that point in time, The Main Street Firehouse will close for refurbishment.

Debuting at the park on February 22, 2012, Guests could pick up once card packs per person per day at the Main Street Firehouse or at a recruitment station in Liberty Square. The more you played, the more card packs you could collect, with some cards being rarer than others. Special Edition cards were also available during many of the after hours events, such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

This news is definitely sad, as I personally have loved this activity in the parks and I began collecting the cards a few years ago. This activity is also free and was a nice little souvenir/collectible.
