Royal Caribbean Suspends All Sailings through December 31, 2020.

Announced on Friday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has lifted the No Sail Order, replacing it with a Conditional Sail Order — signifying the first step towards a cautious resumption of cruising. We are eager to welcome our guests back onboard while keeping their safety, as well as that of our crew members, our number one priority. We’re committed to taking the time needed to do things right and, for that reason, the decision has been made to further suspend all sailings through December 31, 2020 (excluding Quantum of the Seas in Singapore). We plan to utilize this time to thoroughly train our staff and crew on our new health and safety protocols, while also conducting a number of trial sailings to stress-test these measures in real-world conditions. We will continue to work closely with the CDC and the Healthy Sail Panel as we take this next step and solidify our action plan.

We understand that a disruption in your vacation plans may be disappointing and, as a result, have prepared a few compensation options for those impacted. Guests booked on December departures and not previously canceled under our Cruise with Confidence program have the ability to select from the following options:

LIFT & SHIFT

  • Our Lift & Shift option is perfect for those who wish to simply move their existing reservation to next year, while protecting their original cruise fare and promotion. Select next year’s sailing on the same itinerary type, sailing length, stateroom category, and within the same 4-week window of the original cruise date and your clients are all set. Act now — option expires on November 13, 2020!

125% FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT

  • To compensate for the disruption to guests vacation plans, guests are eligible for an elevated 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) that is based on the total cruise fare paid per guest, which will be automatically issued on or before November 30, 2020 if no other option is selected. Taxes and fees, as well as any pre-purchased amenities or onboard packages, will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment within 45 days from the cancellation date.

If guests previously opted to take advantage of our Cruise with Confidence policy, the 100% FCC will stand, and this new option is not available to them. Additionally, if guests redeemed their Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credit on a sailing that is now canceled, their original FCC will be reinstated, plus 125% of any amount paid by the guest on the canceled reservation.

REFUND

  • If guests would simply prefer a refund, we are happy to return the funds paid per guest when selecting this option on or before December 31, 2020. Contact your Travel Agent, as soon as possible, to process your refund. Guests can expect their refund to the original form of payment within 45 days from the cancellation date. To ensure guests are making the best possible choice for their vacation option, there is no need to rush — the 125% Future Cruise Credit will remain active until the refund request is submitted, at which time it will be deactivated.

Our shipboard and shoreside staff and crew are preparing to welcome your clients back with great anticipation. We look forward to sailing again very soon!

Stay healthy and safe!

In 2010, I proposed to my wife in front of Cinderella's Castle an since then it has been a large part of our life. Now as a father of three and experiencing Disney with my wife through our children's eyes, our love for Disney has grown tenfold and I can't wait to share my passion and experiences with you.
